This is the gateway into CrossFit classes! In this course, you will learn everything you need to be successful at KLEW, including what CrossFit is, how to do an air squat, and even how to perform the Olympic lifts. The classes last one hour and consist of a brief lecture, skill session, WOD, cool down, and recap. Classes meet three times a week for two weeks, and after six sessions, you’ll be ready for the more intense classes. The purpose of On-Ramp is to familiarize you with the movements used in CrossFit workouts. The course ensures that you learn the proper mechanics of the movements and become consistent in those mechanics prior to dialing up the intensity. On-Ramp allows the coaches to get to know you and your limits, and it allows you to become comfortable in the class environment and develop relationships within the community.
